Meritt Foreman is the founder and principal of MAF Studio, where she specializes in high-end residential architecture and interior design. Meritt is a licensed architect whose work is shaped by a lifelong appreciation for the relationship between people, place, and the built environment. Her multidisciplinary education includes a Bachelor of Science in Geography with a concentration in Community and Regional Planning, a Master of Architecture, and a Master of Urban Design. This diverse academic foundation informs a thoughtful design approach that considers architecture at every scale—from the character of neighborhoods to the details of interior spaces.

Having lived throughout the United States, Meritt has developed a deep appreciation for the distinct cultures, landscapes, and architectural traditions that define each region. Since relocating to Chicago in 2018, she has practiced architecture and interior design on a wide range of residential and commercial projects, creating spaces that are both functional and enduring.

Meritt is also a dual citizen of the Netherlands, and her passion for international travel continually broadens her perspective on design, urbanism, and cultural heritage. She believes that the best architecture is inspired by both local context and global ideas, resulting in spaces that are timeless, purposeful, and deeply connected to the people who use them.
